Publication Charges and Funding

Publication Charges

There are no submission fees, publication fees or page charges for this journal.

Traditional scholarly publishing models create significant challenges for the research community. Commercial journals typically operate on either subscription models that limit reader access or article processing charges (APCs) that create barriers for authors without dedicated funding.

These transactional approaches not only restrict knowledge dissemination but also place financial burdens on researchers and institutions. The resulting inequality in scholarly communication disproportionately affects researchers from less-resourced institutions and regions, limiting the global exchange of ideas.

JDSSI has no submission fees, publication fees, or page charges. We implement a non-profit publishing policy, and relevant information can also be obtained in the introduction of MSPL. Our goal is to provide free publication of academic papers for scholars from different backgrounds, especially young scholars from impoverished countries or regions.

This is a great advantage for researchers as it makes the journal more accessible and encourages a wider range of submissions. It aligns with the journal's aim to promote social innovation and make research findings freely available to everyone.

Our funding primarily derives from project grants and academic service activities led by MSPL, creating a stable financial base independent of author fees or subscriptions.

We have adopted a scholarly editorial model centered around a university-based research team, integrating current master's and doctoral students into the JDSSI editorial team. This approach not only provides an opportunity for professional development to emerging scholars but also ensures the journal's long-term viability and continued excellence in scholarly publishing.
