The Journal of Design Service and Social Innovation (JDSSI) announces a special issue on "Localization and Internationalization in Design Research: Paradigm Construction, Journal Platforms, and Cross-Cultural Dialogue." We cordially invite design scholars, researchers, and practitioners worldwide to contribute their work, advancing the systematic development of design research through diverse perspectives.

1. Aim

The special issue, guided by the principle of "rooted locally, articulated globally," focuses on knowledge production, scholarly norms, and dissemination platforms in design research. It seeks to explore how research paradigms can be developed that possess both local subjectivity and global applicability while respecting cultural diversity. By establishing a high-quality international journal platform, the issue aims to foster mutual learning and integration of design thoughts, methods, and practices across different cultural contexts, thereby contributing academically to the high-quality development of the design discipline.
